Despite the warranty, we do see the Schwinn AD7 Airdyne having a decent lifespan. We would recommend this model for a light to moderate user who is interested in pushing their limits with the AD7’s unlimited resistance. We do caution our readers though, that in many cases, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a five or more-year bike, you would be better off spending a little more money. Even still, the Schwinn AD7 Airdyne is a great choice for those on a budget.
One of the neat aspects of exercise bikes is the variety offered in today's market. People with average fitness goals to special health needs can find a bike that is best for them. The Schwinn AD7 Airdyne is proof of that variety offering one of the better fan-based bikes at an affordable price. The distinctive design and solid build are among the reasons why we awarded the Schwinn AD7 Airdyne our First Place 2021 Best Buy Award for the $700 to $999 dollar category.
Let’s start this review off with the features that we like about the Schwinn AD7 Airdyne. If you are just discovering the fan bikes, then you are in for some cool features. Because the AD7 Airdyne is a fan-based system, there are unlimited levels of resistance. This is made possible because fan bikes are self-propelled. So the harder you pedal, the more resistance you add to your workout. The Schwinn AD7 Airdyne, though, stands out among other fan bikes because it comes with a thirteen-blade fan which adds to the strength of the fan. Additionally, we like where Schwinn decided to price this bike because it offers the user a good value for the price.
Schwinn also included a belt drive system which adds to the AD7 Airdyne’s overall quality. We can also see that the frame and overall build is sturdy when compared to other bikes in this price range. While the Schwinn AD7 Airdyne is not the strongest bike among our top four, it still offers a solid structure for the price.
But alas, we still have aspects that we are not crazy about. For starters, you can get a bike that offers a more high-tech console for about the same price. While the console capabilities are really a personal preference, we know that a good console can increase a machine's value. Accordingly, the AD7 Airdyne's mediocre console adds mediocre value. We see this mediocrity continued in Schwinn's warranty. Compared to other bikes in this price range, the AD7 Airdyne has one of the less-valuable warranties with a five-year frame, one-year parts and electronics, and a ninety-day labor warranty. Schwinn seems to have put their money into the AD7 Airdyne's frame and build but didn't leave enough room for the warranty.

This is the first year that we have reviewed the Schwinn AD7 Airdyne. We invite you to look into our other bike reviews as well as our Schwinn reviews to get a more well-rounded perspective before you buy.
While we are a little disappointed in the warranty and console, we are still glad to see Schwinn putting such good quality in a bike at this price point. The Schwinn AD7 Airdyne will likely best suit a light to moderate user who values a solid build and training opportunities. Both of these attributes led us to award the AD7 Airdyne bike our First Place 2021 Best Buy Award for the $700 to $999 dollar category.
